Case Studies

Budgens Bow, London

The store opened just after its construction in 1999 and was therefore in need of a substantial face lift by 2009. During Secker’s initial consultation meeting, the owner also expressed concerns at his ever increasing electrical bills that he had to pay to keep his store warm during the autumn and winter months. As a result, Secker’s were contracted to completely refit the store & 18 months later installed our cutting edge heat reclaim system.

Lamberts The Abbatoir

After Secker & Sons (Norwich) Ltd's team of highly experienced in-house engineers installed the new equipment, Lamberts was able to benefit from the 20,000 litres of FREE hot water produced every day, which they use to clean the preparation rooms and sanitize associated equipment.

Formartine’s, Aberdeen

Formartine’s has recently been awarded Gold by The Green Tourism Business Scheme for building an environmentally sustainable visitor attraction in Grampian, Aberdeen. Owner John Cooper & business partners Lord and Lady Aberdeen set out to develop an ethical & sustainable business, committed to minimising the impact of its activities on the environment. We installed a state-of-the-art heat recovery system which captures the waste heat from the site's refrigeration plant and recycles it to provide heating and hot water for the 3300 square foot building.

Parrys Supermarket, Liverpool

Secker & Sons (Norwich) Ltd were awarded the contract to supply & install all the internal fixtures & fittings in a turnkey project for this new build superstore that was central part of the multi-million pound regeneration project intended to transform Stockbridge Village Centre. With 8,000 square feet of retail space and back of house areas, our initial brief was to design an eye catching and modern store whilst keeping costs within a tight budget.

Dike & Son Superstore, Dorset

This independent family run superstore was a new build site & Secker’s brief was to design a retail environment that would compete with the major national retailers whilst creating an independent brand identity. With 16,000 square feet of retail space incorporating a large ‘open plan’ entrance area, a deli/butchery and a café there were several elements to consider within the design. Our shopfitting team & refrgieration experts worked closly together to produce an award winning store.

W.J.Seppings Butchers, Norfolk

The oldest established family butchers in Beccles were in need of a face lift to modernise thier shop but were keen to retain the history and character of the business. Our shopfitting team designed a traditional specification but added a touch of the 21st centuary with new refrgierated display cabinets and a heat reclaim system!

Swannington Farm to Fork, Norfolk

Local butcher Rob Mutimer needed a solution for his ever increasing fuel bills. We established that we could install our EcoTherm Heat Reclaim to Water system to Rob’s existing refrigeration plant in order to provide FREE hot water which can be used for food preparation as well as wash down & sanitisation.
